Paul Inkoom, the tour guide from Tour Path (formerly known as Pathfinder Rentals and Tour), provided a safe driving experience to Shai Hills. The road through Akosombo-Tema was bumpy, but worth the journey for the beautiful views. Our on-site guide was Ibrahim and he was very knowledgeable about the area and the animals. We chose the 2-hour tour.

Shai Hills Resource Reserve is situated in Doryumu in the Dangme West district with Dodowa as the district capital. The Reserve is about 17 km from Accra, the regional capital. SIZE. It has an area of 52km2. There are five hills and the highest is 290m. In total, the hills take up 20% of the reserve.

Getting to the Shai Hills Resource Reserve . The drive to the Shai Hills Resource Reserve where the luxury tents are is about 1 1/2 hours from Accra. I highly recommend hiring a driver to take you to Shai Hills or driving yourself if you can. I think driving yourself or going with someone who can drive themselves is the best option.
